The history of the Italian food company Alcass
The history of our frozen food manufacturer company is the story of a traditional Italian family. Begins in 1987 , in Bedizzole (BS) in the heart of the Brescia countryside, land of sweet bucolic hills, broken only by the fresh waters of the rivers and of the Garda Lake.
To understand our origins, let’s take a little step back in time discovering the traditions of this generous land in the heart of the North of Italy. Here, in fact, farmers and farms contributed to the birth and the growth of some of the most important quality food companies of Italy.
NEW INVESTMENTS, NEW ACHIEVEMENTS
At the beginning the Italian frozen food company supplier invested in new human resources and young managers as well as in product research and development.
The company expands its facilities, certified for safety and quality assurance at European level. The result is the birth of new successful healthy frozen food references, a collection of top quality frozen meals, a brand new line of Italian food products based on vegetable proteins. Than it came the decision, thanks to the collaboration with local breeders, to bring to life one of the very first certified lines of frozen organic meat in Italy.
It is the Normal Trade sector, the one of the small and independent food shops and small grocery stores, very typical in Italy, to launch the first range of top quality frozen products Alcass. In fact, having no butchery licenses, and with a small refrigerated counter, the frozen meat trays was the perfect solution for this kind of stores, to reduce food cost and food waste.
Frozen, the healthy Italian way
Frozen food meals, however, had not yet entered inside the Italians customs. The mistrust towards a non-fresh food product is still very high. But Amica Natura rise up to the challenge creating a very high quality frozen food healthy proposal.
The frozen food supplier Alcass launches an innovative healthy frozen food line, a new in for the Italian agro-food market, a collection of natural meat, low carb frozen meals without preservatives, deep-frozen under vacuum, anticipating today’s widespread technology in skin. The intuition was that more fresh than that it is impossible.
Amica Natura uses local ingredients, of excellent quality, valuable like beef, fresh and rich in precious proteins and thanks to the cold, preserve it at the maximum point of nutritional quality and flavor for many months. The greatest adventures always begin with an act of courage. Our was, more a courageous gesture of trust, towards new frozen food technologies and in particular in our case, towards the new techniques of deep-freezing food related to healthy nutrition.
